Seoul - 20 July 2020, Mr. Song, Geum Young, Former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tanzania paid a visit to Mr. Abdul Hakim Atarud, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Republic of Korea and had introduced the latest surveying technology that the Korean companies exporting to other nations.
This technology is used for general visualization and mapping purpose of geographical locations, Mr. Song invited Ambassador Atarud to visit the production line of one of these companies that have already established relationships with some African countries.
Seoul- July 17, 2020, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud had a productive meeting with Professor Robert Matz, Ph.D. the Campus Dean of #George_Mason_Univesity in Korea. Professor Matz explained the overall mission of the GMK and plans for the admission of International Students in the forthcoming academic year.
Ambassador Atarud while expressing his gladness of meeting Professor Matz, offered his support for facilitating the admission of Afghan Students to GMK and academic exchange and collaboration with Afghan universities.
Seoul- July 10, 2020, Mr. Kim Won-kyong, Vice President of Samsung Electronics paid and a courtesy call to Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud.
Ambassador Atarud offered his appreciation and thanks to VP of Samsung Electronics for the recent donation of coronavirus test kits to Afghanistan and emphasized on great opportunities that exist in the Afghan market for investment and business.
Seoul- July 10, 2020, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud had a friendly meeting with Mr. KIM Junghan, Director-General of Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.
Two sides discussed the issues concerning friendly relations between the two countries, peace talks in Afghanistan and the way forward, and the COVID-19 situation in the two countries.
Seoul - 01 July 2020, Following the last year's meeting of Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud with Ms. Hwang, DeuBora, the Chairwoman of Volunteer Fire Department Alliance, and Mr. Her Moung Goan, the Secretary-General of Korea Federation of fire Association, a follow up meeting has been held between the two sides to further discuss the actual process of sending donated Fire Trucks and Ambulances to Afghanistan.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of collaboration between the Fire Departments of Afghanistan and Korea as well as providing firefighting equipment and providing training to the National Fire Agency of Afghanistan.

Seoul- June 11, 2020, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud met with Mr. KIM Junghan, Director-General of Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau of Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Korea. Two sides had a discussion concerning the ongoing peace process in Afghanistan and other issues of mutual interest of two countries, e.g. fight against COVID-19.

Seoul- June 5, 2020, Mr. Hyoung Joon-Lim, Country Director of WFP-Korea and Mr. Jang Hwan Bae, Government Partnership Officer of WFP-Afghanistan paid a visit to Afghan Embassy and met with Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud. Two sides discussed the issues fund-raising to Afghanistan and the support of vulnerable Afghan citizens, especially those affected by COVID-19.

Seoul, May 2, 2020, His Excellency Al-Saadi, Zakariya Hamed Hilal, Ambassador of Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Korea paid a courtesy call to Afghan Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud. The two sides discussed the issues of mutual interest and the relations between the two countries' missions in Seoul.

Seoul- May 22, 2020, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud had a meeting with Mr. Kim, President of ASKO Co. Ltd (Person & People) Group, and tour of production line of Anti-Infection and Air purification systems that the company produces for industrial usage.

These systems are cleaning the air from viruses and impurities and usually used in hospitals to protect the health workers and the crowded places. The company shows its willingness to start a joint venture project for the production of medical equipment in Afghanistan.

April 29, 2020- Seoul, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud had a meeting with Mr. Whan-bok Cho, Director of Youngone Company to discuss the possibility of securing the supply of COVID-19 medical equipment that is required in Afghanistan.
