Seoul- December 18, 2019, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud met with the Representative of NECATI BULAK BOURSE company and discussed the possibility of arranging a business partnership of this company through the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce with Afghan companies.
Seoul- December 16, 2019, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud attended the opening ceremony of the "Forest Restoration to Enhance Ecosystem Services in Afghanistan" co-organized by UNEP-SNU as a collaborative Research Workshop at Seoul National Univesity.
During the meeting with Honorable Dean of College of Agriculture Science of the Seoul National Univesity Ambassador Atarud extended his appreciation for the assistance of the mentioned college on arranging such a workshop for the Afghan forest researchers.
During his congratulatory remarks, Ambassador Atarud advised the Afghanistan researchers to utilize maximum benefit out of this training program for mitigating the climate change in the country and restoration of the ecosystem.
The Republic of Korea over the past few years collaborating with Afghanistan entities to enhance the country's ecosystem.

Seoul - December 10, 2019, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud attended the graduation ceremony of the Yonsei Univesity and delivered congratulatory remarks to advise the graduates on their way forward.
In his speech Afghan Ambassador state " You all have opportunities and education that so many people who came before you never could have dreamed of. Imagine the kind of impact and changes that you’re going to make and how you can inspire others to reach higher education." On this occasion, Ambassador Atarud also encouraged and congratulated one Afghan student who completed his degree course at the Yonsei University.
Seoul-December 6, 2019, On the occasion of 2019 Commencement of KDI School Ambassador Atarud was invited to deliver congratulatory remarks. During his speech, the Afghan Ambassador highlighted the importance of education on transforming the society and people's lives. He mentioned "Today, as you receive your well-earned degree and move on to the next phase of your life. I challenge you to use your talents and energy, developed and honed here at the KDI, to make a positive impact on your community; take the institution’s motto to heart; go out and make your world “ever better.”. And "Today the world needs you more than before, war, natural disasters, climate change, disease ethical issues in the organizations and society are big, but with your commitments and education you could overcome all these issues."
Afghan Ambassador also congratulated the Afghan students who graduated from KDI School this year.
Seoul, November 22, 2019 - Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud met with honorable Professor M. Sayeed Kakar, Chancellor of Kabul Polytechnic University, and Dr. #Ahmad_Shekib_Rafi, Director of Darul-Aman Government Administrative Complex and his team. The Afghan delegation visited Korea and had a series of meetings with some important research Institutes including #KDI, Incheon National University & SUNY Korea University for further collaboration.
Seoul, November 22, 2019- Rwanda Ambassador Yasmin D. Amri-sued paid a courtesy call to Afghan Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud. Two sides discussed the issues of mutual interest and the relations between the two countries' missions in Seoul.
Following the first meeting of Ambassador Atarud with Honorable Mr. Sungdon Hwang, Ph.D. Secretary-General, Silk-road Universities Network yearly this year and facilitating the membership of Kabul and Hirat Universities to the SUN. Today the Afghan Ambassador to the Republic of Korea was invited as a guest of honor and chief speaker to the first round Union of Students of Silkroad Universities Network USSUN-HUFS seminar and delivered a presentation about the Silkroad and Connectivity.
In his presentation, Ambassador Atarud highlighted the importance of Silkroad and Connectivity, Peace, Education, emerging Asia, and Afghanistan as a hub of transformation and trade.
He also emphasized on the importance of geo-economics and collaboration for co-existence among the old Silkroad nations and contemporary and globalized world.

Seoul, November 15, 2019 - Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mr. Abdul Hakim Atarud, greeted and met a team of Afghan Officials attending Capacity Development project of Water Management and Policy Education program initiated and conducted by #KOICA.
Ambassador Atarud desired that the knowledge and experiences they acquired from Korea could support them during the Water Management projects in Afghanistan.
Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud had a productive meeting with Mr. Taewon Terrence Park, Senior Researcher at the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and discussed the importance of Information Security and cooperation between KISA and Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Afghanistan.
