To acquire the support for the different companies in Korea toward fighting COVID-19 pandemic in Afghanistan, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud met Mr. Lee, GunSik President of World Economy Exchange Association and discussed the way forward for support toward Afghanistan.
Mr. Lee, who is currently facilitating the supply of COVID-19 testing equipment around the world, made his assurances to provide the Coronavirus testing kits with a special discount to Afghanistan.

20 April 2020 – Seoul, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud met with Mr. Jungnam Kim, President of Foundation for Global Life Sharing and Mr. Steve Jung, President of Refugee Help desk. During the meeting, he discussed the current pandemic phenomenon and asked for providing medical support to fight against the COVID-19.

Ambassador Atarud also expressed that the efforts Korean people in slowing down the pace of the spread of COVID-19 illustrated their response to the coronavirus as a global icon through an extensive, the most decisive approach which becomes a rule model to other countries. The company will provide medical equipment and medication shortly to Afghanistan.

To facilitate the process of women empowerment and gender equality in Afghanistan through knowledge sharing programs and research, Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud had a meeting with Ms. Insook KWON, President of the Korean Women's Development Institute and KWDI’s International Development and Cooperation team.

During the meeting, both-side have discussed the issues of mutual interest and ways of assisting Afghan women to promote their self-reliance projects. the KWDI shows their willingness to further discuss the possibility of transferring KWDI knowledge to their Afghan counterparts.

Seoul - January 16, 2020, Afghan Ambassador Abdul Hakim Atarud met with Executive Director of Hanbok Promoting Association and her associates. In the meeting, Ambassador discussed the possibility of collaboration among this Association with Afghan women for placement Afghan made garment as well as facilitating Afghan clothes fashion show in Seoul through Korean models.

Seoul- December 19, 2019, Afghan Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Mr. Abdul Hakim Atarud met with Mr. Kim Chang Chan, Head of Social Venture Accelerator Urban Renewal Developer organization. During the meeting, two sides exchanged the ideas on the involvement of SVAURD investment in Afghanistan.
